She is also a record promoter for Capitol CMG Radio and was with Universal Music Group Nashville In a Instagram post about this song, Carpenter, 25, states 'I wrote this song about the depressing period after saying goodbye while in a long distance relationship. The sadness I felt was so intense, I became obsessed with lucid dreaming so I could manipulate m dreams to dance with my distant lover in my sleep. Not educated on the serious risks and spiritual damage that can place from doing so (this was before I became a Christian), I started sleepwalking and having nightmares of feathered black figures pouring gasoline.
