Myles Erlick is a Canadian Country Singer who resides in Nashville Tennesse. He is a actor and ex professional dancer too. He also owns his own sound engineering company 'Sound By Erlick'
This song is about a girl he met in Nashville (According to a TikTok promotion video) it is essentially the tale of when they met.
The part that gives me so much laughter is in the first verse where it says ' A Red Mercedes packed full of ladies' and thos line, although it seems innocent and not laughter inducing, makes me laugh because ever since this track dropped I keep seeing these very cars around me. One day I saw around 9 of them! Ok yes, maybe some were the same one and went in a different direction and came back by me but why'd someone pay attention to the licence plates.
My favourite part of this song is the spoken 'try and stay awake for this'. Myles being a actor definitely acted this out when in the recording booth.
When he was just starting out in his music career, Myles was in a band called The Revel Boys and they covered 'Magics Red Dress' magic Red Dress and in these songs (as you'd hear if you follow the links) the artists sing the lyrics 'hey you with the red dress on' in a certain melody and Myles brought this right back when he did 'See You Around' and sung the same lyrics in the same tone and same melody.
The accompanying music video is amazing and true myles fashion. Filmed at the Dairy Queen locations he grew up going too.
