Love Me Tonight- Jay Webb

Image
Love love love. That's what this song is all about. The feeling of love and everything lovey.  Jay Webb is a country artist from America hailing from Alabama. As stared on his Website  he is a Country artist who writes songs that hit like a gut punch. Raised between the backroads of North Alabama and the city in the south, music was how he made sense of the chaos around him. What started as a way to process a turbulent childhood quickly became his purpose — gritty storytelling over genre-blurring beats, delivered with zero filter. He started cutting demos in high school and never stopped, releasing track after track on his own and building a following from the ground up. His lyrics cut deep, his voice carries the scars and his sound refuses to stay in one lane. Webb doesn’t clean up the mess — he leans into it, and has a good time doing it. Some of his influences include the likes of Post Malone, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams among others. It’s not traditional country — and he...

The children of Walk Off The Earth are here everyone and boy are they Talents.  Giorgio, Luigi and Romeo Nicassio are here.  Luminati Suns are the new Hanson Brothers or also the Jonas Brothers. Giorgio the eldest is 12 and plays the drums, Luigi, the middle son is 10 and plays guitar and keyboard as well as more recently lead vocals and finally we have Romeo, the youngest at 8, original lead vocals, ukeule and secondary guitar.  These boys have been born into music, in fact Luigi pretty much was literally born into music as mum Sarah Blackwood was in labour while filming a Walk Off The Earth cover video . Having toured with parents pretty much since birth they have had no other options then music however they aren't forced, this band was formed on their own terms.  City Kids was the boys first original song wrote by themselves. The song is all about exactly what the title says....City Kids. They are City Kids themselves but unlike others they have seen m...

Ferrari-Jessica Baio

Image
Ever fallen in love so hard you don't care what happens? Thats the feeling this song is all about.  Jessica Baio is a ever rising pop artist residing in Salt Lake City but frequents LA. Having opened for Natalie Jane during her 'Where Am I' tour she became more known.  Ferrari is wrote by Baio about falling in love with her now husband whom she married at just EIGHTEEN, Sam Jose. With lyrics like 'you and me Ferrari, heart racing cause we might crash, I ain't even worried put your foot on the gas' this feeling of falling hard and fast is described as a Ferrari car. The fastness Baio fell for Jose resembles how Ferrari's typically go from  0-60 in about 3 seconds and this is the metaphor that Baio used in the song.  Baio and Jose are married and legally she is Jessica Jose however for music and socials this name was previously taken so she remained Baio. The couple have a joint couples YouTube channel called 'Sam and Jess'   Where they do...

Ever wanted to disappear into the night and never be seen again? If you said yes then this song is wrote for you.  Mylie Taylor is a Canadian Indie Rock artist residing in LA. Lyrics hailing straight from personal experience. Mylie is a fantastic artist many people can relate to.  (Pic courtesy of @wotes.extraz on Instagram) Lyrics such as 'I'm crushed to dust  I can't get up  Lifе hit me  Like a semi-truck' portray exactly how Taylor felt when she lost her dad just FOUR days after her 16th birthday. She had a insanely close bond to her dad and he passed so suddenly (he was a public figure from a band so news articles state it was a natural cause)  Taylor calls all her fans her besties and the fandom really feels like a family. Especially in the Discord community  ( hi to all readers from there 💙) I guarantee that if you join you will get welcomed right into the ever growing family.  Taylor pushes through life using her music to ge...

Cut Me Loose- Harm&Ease

Image
Ever loved someone who left you? Thats how this song makes me think. Lyrics like ' She loved me then she cut me loose'  really portray this.  Cut Me Loose is by Harm&Ease, a rock band originally from Buenos Aries but now residing in Toronto, Canada. Formed of John Goodblood, Danny Lopez, Rylan Whalen, Alex Hamnett and Christina Dare.  This song is a rock ballad with a thrilling exciting high action  music video , following a story of a couple who met for the first time and particpates in a thrilling high action chase with weapons, taking time to kiss however, by the end the girl takes the guys keys and heads off in his car and drives away leaving him wondering where she went. This video is almost like it is plucked straight from a Bond movie. Staring Myles Erlick and Briar Nolet as well as the band (minus Dare as she joined the boys a few years later.)  The song is powerful and hard hitting. Lyrics such as ' Love shook you to the core, It's gonna...

Gang Of Rhythm- Walk Off The Earth

Image
Epic song, Epic band, Epic video. Yes that's this song. I wonder if any of you, my readers, remember this song from The Sims 3 Island Paradise expansion pack, I don't personally but I do know it was used from YouTube comments. This is also how I know the video was used in Nintendo 3DS.  The song literally tells you how it's built in one verse. ' I've got this old guitar strings are rusty but it's all I need bring in the kick drum it can back the beat (let's gather round and sing a song) ice got a shaker too, the kind sound that wants to make you move. Bring in the uke it will complete the groove let's gather round a sing a song ' this is genius as when they say the instrument that said instrument will join the backing track.  This song was first released in 2012 but still to this day has many fans singing along. I remember hearing it live and the sheer volume of the cheer when it started was enough to rival the bands amps.  The music video  tells a s...

SLEEPWALKING- Heather Carpenter

Image
This song is a story and a half. Based off the artists own past long-term, long distance relationship.  Heather Carpenter is a Floridian Indie Rock singer based in Nashville Tennesse. She is also a record promoter for Capitol CMG Radio and was with Universal Music Group Nashville  In a Instagram post about this song, Carpenter, 25, states 'I wrote this song about the depressing period after saying goodbye while in a long distance relationship. The sadness I felt was so intense, I became obsessed with lucid dreaming so I could manipulate m dreams to dance with my distant lover in my sleep. Not educated on the serious risks and spiritual damage that can place from doing so (this was before I became a Christian), I started sleepwalking and having nightmares of feathered black figures pouring gasoline. However the nightmares didn't make me stop, because it felt like I was just sleepwalking through life at the time anyway. I felt insane. But I had no other option. @myl...
