Eddie and The Getaway is a band front maned by the singer Eddie Erlbe. Eddie himself hails from the United States. He resides in Nashville Tennesse.

Thought it'd go away, but damn it, it don't' portraying how hard the split has hit the singer. No matter what the singer tries they can't get out out the mid break up depression stage, this is also shown through lyrics such as 'Why can I only breathe when there smoke up in my lungs?' 

The future partnerships are shown by the lyrics 'I'm hiding the hurt so you can't see
But it's real to me' this shows how the struggle of the break up makes the singer not be able to dhow their true self to their new partner because they feel the need to hide the pain and hurt so they can't see. 

Eddie's new song 'Love You' is out 6th February 2026 and is the flip to Real To Me. Where Real To Me is a sad song, Love You is a love song. Eddie is headed out on tour.
