Jay Webb is a country artist from America hailing from Alabama. As stared on his Website he is a Country artist who writes songs that hit like a gut punch. Raised between the backroads of North Alabama and the city in the south, music was how he made sense of the chaos around him. What started as a way to process a turbulent childhood quickly became his purpose — gritty storytelling over genre-blurring beats, delivered with zero filter. He started cutting demos in high school and never stopped, releasing track after track on his own and building a following from the ground up. His lyrics cut deep, his voice carries the scars and his sound refuses to stay in one lane. Webb doesn’t clean up the mess — he leans into it, and has a good time doing it.

Some of his influences include the likes of Post Malone, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams among others. It’s not traditional country — and he doesn’t want it to be. He calls it “music for real people with real problems,” and his fans know exactly what that means

This song is a story and a half. Based off the artists own past long-term, long distance relationship.  Heather Carpenter is a Floridian Indie Rock singer based in Nashville Tennesse. She is also a record promoter for Capitol CMG Radio and was with Universal Music Group Nashville  In a Instagram post about this song, Carpenter, 25, states 'I wrote this song about the depressing period after saying goodbye while in a long distance relationship. The sadness I felt was so intense, I became obsessed with lucid dreaming so I could manipulate m dreams to dance with my distant lover in my sleep.
